Is the trailing point Swamp Rat (not sure of the model) elmax as well SP?

How would the 460 compare to say an Anorexic Basic 4 for example?

2. SYKCO is thinner
3. B4 has a broader blade

Same. I've been on the lookout for a good hunting/fishing knife from Busse for a while. I had my eyes set on an elmax steak knives but after seeing the elmax 460 I was sold. The thinner edge should work like a treat.

I'm guessing the elmax steak knives have an even thinner edge than the 460 - the steak knives are hollow ground and are super slicers!
I like both the 460 and the steak knives!

That's a Swamp Rat "Rodent Trail" that I had the custom shop make for me. It's satin SR-101. I had the m remove choil area/blade stop ala the Busse HACK variants. I dubbed this one-of-a-kind blade the Swamp Rat "Trail Skinner".

The steak knives are hollow ground, but the flat-ground Scrapmax 460 has a taller profile. I'm venture a guess that they're pretty close to the same edge thickness. The 460 sure is a razor!!!

Rounded the butt of the handle off?

How'd you do it? Can it be done with some sandpaper?

I wish those handles were molded that way from the factory!

I knocked the bulk of it with a belt sander and finished it with 320 sandpaper, make sure you leave plenty of meat by the brass tube.

No name, sorry. It's a SYKCO 460 Elmax variant, not everything has a pretty name…. That being said, it's likely a one off from one of the guys in the Busse Custom Shop….
