Sykes knife handles ?

I am very interested in making my own Sykes style knife handles. Particularly the aluminum or brass ones. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have only done leather stacked handles.

You really need a lathe to do it right.

Nope, wasn't me. I wasn't making these that far back. It might have been Rob Patton. I think Steven Garsson has mentioned that Rob made some.
