I have a 530 but it so incredibly thin, flimsy and plasticy, not to mention the weirdly sharp thumbstuds, that i do not like using it
My GEC sunfish is close to this shape but not quite
I have a zytel ti-lite but that is very rectangular and the plastic washer broke...

I think i will ask mikov if he can make a predator without the scary subvertive spring...

Suggestions are dearly appreciated

EDIT: I should have blatantly mentioned that i can not buy autos here

Benchmade Stimulus. I have the older version, and I love it! The new one is just the same, but with an upgraded firing system.

I'd offer some suggestions, but if you're just looking for spear points in general, you may want to consider what Craytab suggests, and select spear points from the selector at BladeHQ. I think discontinued models even come up, but just for viewing.

There's a lot of spear points out there. Feast away.

For something cheaper, what about the Gerber Covert series? Many sizes, and many opening mechanisms to choose from!

I considered the 530 myself but decided on the 531 instead. It sports G10 scales instead of the plastic ones of the 530. Much stiffer and feels better in your hand.

Maybe you can get Benchmade to make a scale change.

I agree, the 531 feels much better. The hollowed out thumb stud and axis lugs on the 530 feel awkward to me.

Ontario Arrow. Flicking one now as I'm reading this thread.

The Arrow is a good 'un!

OP, there is also the LionSteel Daghetta but it has some quirks and I don't think I'd ever buy one again. Biggest issues: very stiff with sharp thumbstuds and TOL lock (which is made way worse by lock-stick) and the adjustable pivot screw is hidden under the scales. Looks good, well-built, but requires a long painful break-in period that is only worth it if you really really like how this knife looks.
