you are correct. Impaled objects should be left where they are until you can get to an emergency care facility. The one exception being something that is stuck through your cheeks (not the ones on your behind
) Since there is a chance of obstructing the airway, it is generally ok to remove the object.
The other observation i have to make is that there seems to be a negative undertone toward synthetic knives. Like they are only good for the purpose of circumventing the law, killing or the like. Maybe they are less usefull as a gerneral tool, but those of us who carry "tactical" knives are not carrying them to spread peanut butter on the sandwich either. They are mainly for self-defense, which mean they are also used to kill if necessary. So if I carry a knife purely for self defense, not as a general tool, then why should it matter if it is made from steel, talonite, titanium or a synthetic material?
