Synthetic Sticks?

Pete, you are correct nylon will take on moisture before its molded so they always dry the material first-as for uv I'm not sure-never really left my sticks in the sunlight for any amount of time.Guess they could warp if left for a long time in the sun-as for the hits that you have how do like them. I hear they have alot of vibration to them. Thanks for your time, Nightwing

Nightwing9,

I am quite impressed with the HITS sticks. The vibrations to me do not seem any worse than Rattan. This is after striking a tire dummy, heavy bag, and beating the living daylights out of the air.
So far they are FAST, light, and SEEM durable - time will tell

Dave Fulton wacked them on a tire dummy a couple times a few weeks ago. I don't know if he noticed any vibrations [This was after he finished beating his arm up with my Hobbit Warrior Trainer though........... :)]

If V-I-B-R-A-T-I-O-N is desired  try the WA sticks/sorting poles. I have two pairs - one with golf club handles, one with a composite athletic tape/550 cord wrap (We'll politely call it a REDNECK Wrap). They are very fast but shake me like a cartoon character when hitting something substantial.

I also have some assorted pieces of Rattan, 1" aluminum tubing/ 1" aluminum tubing filled with expanding foam, and 1" Oak. and a pair of JSP fancy coated sticks, and a lovely 26" long T-6061 solid aluminum alloy "Mongo" stick.
Each is good for something, HITS are the most discrete and Sheeple friendly "Who could get hurt by plastic pipe?"

No Pete, nothing replaces the smell of burning rattan! :D

The was no appreciable vibration from the poly-carb. tube when hitting the tire dummy. I personally don't think poly-carb (or any synthetic stick) will ever replace rattan (for me) in regular training, but for the tire dummy (which really chews up rattan), I think it may be the answer. :)

Thanks!

Dave Fulton.

P.S. Sorry for not responding sooner folks, but my work schedule is insane right now and I have a lot of problems posting from work. I think it has to do with BFC's cookies and our network's fire-wall not meshing well.
