Nice knife Sarah. Is the paper stone grippy?
Jim

That's a great looking utilitarian kinda knife. I love how the handle color seems to be slightly different with changes in lighting.

Thanks, guys. A lot of good things came together for me in this knife. It fits really well in both my heart and my hand. :)

This is how the color most often presents, non-lit-up:

It sure is pretty in different light, though:

Grateful, I would describe the Paperstone (as finished on my knife handle) as smooth-- not grippy, but not slippery either. However, I wouldn't trust myself to hold on to it inside a deer.*

Interestingly, sitflyer finished the same material (literally-- cut from the same piece of Paperstone) to a higher gloss; he reports that his knife's handle is grippier when wet!

Pret-ty cool stuff.

*Fortunately, I have no plans to have my hand inside a deer, holding a knife or not. ;)

Very nice Gevonovich, what is that?

Its a Vintage Hibbard,Spencer,Bartlett & Co. Balloon Swell Ctr. Pen Knife. Its 3 inches long and just a little wonder. Sharp as a razor with wee little HSB stamping on both blades. You practically need a microscope to read it...lol Hard snaps and half stops on both blades.:D

Also called a Jenny Lind ( supposedly after a singer of the time period ) Also sometimes referred to as the Buttercup Ladies or Gentleman's Knife. The bulbous ends is where the balloon end portion of the name came from, I gather.

Pumpkin Patch Acrylic? Or am I mistaken?

Got the Kryptonite White Owl out today, mesmerizing!

Regards, Will

You are correct sir! It's fantastic, no picture can capture the depth of some of these acrylics, normal I prefer natural materials but this is my exception. Plus the 66 is a fantastic pattern

Thanks Tyler! I missed getting one of those Pumpkin Patches by the skin of m teeth, I can well imagine it is a fantastic acrylic. Yes, the 66 is a very decent pattern too.

regards, Will

Nifebrite acrylic on this boy's knife is really cool stuff. Ignore that rosewood in this photo:
