Hi Todd, i visit this site always hoping to see another of your knives. i'd call this one a "clean" beauty; beautiful lines, essential, nothing to distract the eye. however i am still pining over #325. are you planning any more with that mammoth ivory ? roland

Sure, how many would you like????? :D

Really only have one set of blue mammoth ivory for a knife that size.

Let me know?

Thanks

Todd

beautiful work, todd.
i'm not normally a huge fan of micarta, but this knife reeks of elegance.
nicely done.

another lovely looking knife. May I ask why you no longer do filework on the spine/backspring though?

I will still do it on request.... money does talk.

But the truth is....... Some one said it in the custom knife area.

We do not make these knives for our selves.
We make them for our customers.
And the majority of collectors are wanting the clean, crisp lines on a knife they can get.
A few very well known makers have told me this.
If you put file work on them they think you are trying to hide flaws on the knife. Or just make it pretty so you can find a buyer?
I to liked the file work, but as a maker I must keep pushing the bar higher.
I use to file a lot of guns - STAINLESS STEEL - but NO more.... :(
And as you can see I think I do know how to file.
But if you want the serious market, you have to give them what they want.
clean - clean - clean - perfect KNIVES.....

right Todd, but what about the minimalist file work on my #317 ?? clean, clean, clean, perfect knife. just what i wanted. roland

thanks for the response and the great looking pics - wow.
I had worried that you were opposed to doing filework any more and there was no chance I would ever get my hands on one of yours. Guess I'll have to save up some more 'til I can persuade you :) Keep 'em coming.

Thank God the two I have came with file work. Hate to spend my hard earned $ looking at flaws. :D
