Nice Looking knife Todd! Well done. I like the ivory on this one.

Ken

Todd, you are the most "dangerous" guy in this forum.
i like this one very much; and it has rear bolsters too ! I would like to claim it, and #358 isn't even here yet ! (tomorrow for sure). i've already stopped paying my income tax and cut my food down to bread and soup, but at least i have 3 terrific T.A.D. folders ! maybe i should stop eating and starve in bliss with more of your great knives.
i think others who have one of your folders, know what i mean by "dangerous".
your fan, roland

just in case my above post is unclear : i am not taking this knife.
what i tried to say is how much i would like to buy it, esp. with the elephant ivory; so traditional and classy, but rare in a new knife.
so, somebody please speak up for it, then i can relax. and if you don't already have one of Todd's knives, you will be amazed when you get to actually see and hold it. roland

Thanks for the reply Roland & Ken, I do appreciate it.

Enjoy the new knife swe.

Hi Roland,

I will post at once when I have it. It is interesting to see the evolution of Todds knives. I have an early one with brass liners. One two blader with a bushing (special order) with some file work. This one seems to be the clean third generation.

Best regards

Ossian

Hi,

I got the Ivory knife today. I had two of Todds slippies before and they are excellent made folders. But this one is even better. The knife is extremly sharp, the edge is fine and polished, but the blade is still strong enough to serve in a user slippie.

This is one of these knives you really have to investigate if you want to find tracks from the "made by hand process". Fit and finish is very, very good. You can hardly see where the spring ends and the liners start. The nail nick is perfect in my eyes, the shield expertly inlayd and the blade dead centered.

Thank you for a great knife Todd!

swe, what about the ivory ? how much do you like it ? does it seem any different in person than in picture ? roland

So your saying another perfect folder from Al. I always look at his and am always amazed at the pure craftsmanship. I would love to watch Al make a couple of his folders. Jim

swe,

You are very welcome, enjoy the new knife.

Thanks! ya all, much appreciated.

Roland,

My screen isn´t the best. But I would say that the Ivory has more coulor in real life than in the picture. The darker areas are larger – very nice.
