Isn't it something? The same knife caught my eye in its other appearance today:

Bill510c, have you done anything to "soften" (sand or rub down) the jigging? It looks more appealing in your photographs than I've yet seen it.

No matter what, yours is a beautiful knife. :thumbup:

I thought I'd throw these out there for comparison; a late '60's Case 6375 Red Bone and a GEC 79 Workhorse Whittler in Blood Red Jig Bone.



I've always liked the old Case red, but GEC has gotten close, although I don't think they're trying to match the color. I've heard that the same dyes aren't available these days due to the old stuff being fairly toxic to work with. These two are very fine knives and both favorites of mine.

I really like that knife. I wish I could have jumped on one when they came out. The best of the Outlaws by far.

I've also wondered this for a long time. It's probably my favorite Case pattern ever.
