T~bone Tuesday

With a bit of patina to roughen the surface these are pinchable :)

I love all the yellow bones everyone is posting today! Any minute now, my #85 sfo jack in antique yellow jigged bone should be here. I'll take some photos when it arrives.

This 53 pattern equal end is nice & thin with a single massive spring (and catch-bit for the super thin pen bl.). This is GEC's Copperhead Jig Bone version and I really like it. I'd like to see GEC make this model with a spear blade configuration; sort of a 68 'White Owl' on steriods.

This week's entry is a circa WWI knife with a large spear blade and tin opener. Often called the 'Gift Knife' lore has it that these were included in Christmas boxes sent to the troops at the front. Lots of discussion but no definitive evidence as yet. Nice bone nonetheless.

Lovely S-K, always a treat to see your treasures. Sadly, if they were sent to Sheffield regiments, not many would have come back :(
