T.M.Hunt custom cleaver. round 2

Very nice!! I cant get over the evil look of that thing! What did you do for the "patina" on the blade?
 
Hey m99. Theres quite a bit more to it than just using the cold blue. That patina starts during the heat threat process by not prepping the blade for the decarboniztion and letting it run its coarse. The gun blue is rubbed off during its apllication so it only shows up darker in the low spots. There's still a little more to it but that's the basics.
 
Kinda figured there was more to it because of the low spots. I like that look alot :) I would like to try that out sometime.
