T.M.Hunt remora pistol bayonet

Hmm the clip is a interesting idea. But like I mentioned before, was really just fooling around. This bayonet is totally impractical and pretty much useless. To spend anymore time on it would be like putting leather seats in a pinto. Plus take away time from my more important projects. As far as making the 9 bayonet, I've already done it with Murphs 7 so I think I'm pretty much done beating that dead horse. I agree it would be neat to see. Maybe someone else will give it a try?

what's wrong with Pintos?
I knew a guy who raced pony stock and dropped a 429 in his...

I bet it still didn't have leather seat though!;)

Haha, that's pretty funny. It's way more effective of a weapon if the rail mount is zk green, though.

I mean't the 9 on a pistol.... :D

So, for those of us who haven't actually gotten their firearms yet, is there actually a practical use for a pistol bayonet? What's the point?

I know of no practical or tatical use for it. It was just something to do. Something a little different.

Mr Hunt, you are a true artist and craftsman. Always impressed with your work!

You bringing any of those new pieces to the Gathering?

I'll have a few tricks up my sleeve for the gathering. Be sure to bring some more of that canadian money that I can't spend!:D I will be looking forward to seeing you, Christine, and the mongrel hounds again.

Okay, glad I wasn't missing something. Certainly well executed. How hard was it to get the blade into that handle?

Well crimson it wasn't to difficult, the most challenging thing was actually cutting it. I didn't put it on my rockwell to see what it measured, but that little booger it hard I'll tell you that. The back was cut off and then the rest trimmed. I didn't want to just wack everything away, I wanted to maintain its structural strenth of the handle. So I removed just enough material to make it work. Its sollid. Doesn't move. The spring for the latch just misses the handle by a couple thousanths of a in.
