T Mag 49.95

i ordered two, they arrived today.

not a real fan of slippie types, but this is really neat. i love the magnet!!

the cf is beautiful, and of course it is very sharp. hope i can find a place in the rotation.

mine just arrived today! cant beat the price for what i got! CF is SOOOO light and its killer sharp, idk yet if i will carry it

I just got one. Really nice knife, carbon fiber, nice S30V blade, but I probably will not EDC it with no lock. The magnet is good for holding it open, but it closes very easily with almost no resistance and would scare me as a daily carry.

Anyone elses thoughts on this?

It's more of a gentleman's folder for light duty stuff, very nice looks though

I can open and close mine just by flicking the wrist, I don't even need the spydie hole

All four of mine are like this

They are hair popping sharp too

One problem I didn't think about is the magnet, if it gets near your credit cards or driver's license it could ruin their magnetic strips, so you have to watch out how you carry it.

I got one on big brown today. Best knife deal I've had come my way in a long time. An awful lot of really neat details for a 50.00 knife. Fun to play with, verry sharp, should be easy to edc (the manix and the militarys take up a little bit too much room sometimes!). I thought about a t-mag about a year ago but could not justify the price. Really glad that I ordered one - looks like a keeper.

I got a couple. I think a carbon fiber sage liner lock would have been a much better buy at 80-90 that i see it for on google.
The titanium liners are roughly finished and ugly, one of them even has lumps of welding slag on the edge at the spine. Shouldnt they have ground the edges of the liners nice and smooth? Im also not impressed with the carbon fiber scales. I can see light between the scale and liner. If I payed full price id feel ripped off because fit and finish is better on all my other spydies. That will save me money from ever buying a full priced knife with carbon scales now - only because they dont impress me. The blade itself is nice, a very nice hollow grind with a great edge.

Has anyone tried to smooth out the titanium liners? It would be nice if they were even with the carbon fiber scales. I thought about taking the knife apart and using some abrasive to make the titanium smooth and file down the CF to line them up with the liners. But, I have never worked with CF so I am afraid to ruin it in my attemps.

I agree with most of the comments above. The liners are very poorly finished. They are rough and have the slag deposits noted above (don't know if thats what it actually is or not). Hate the looseness of the knife. I then tightened down the pivot screw. Now it will not flip open and closed easily. It certainly now is not smooth and light but it also doesn't scare me to use it. Its still easier to break than my UKPK but has enough hold that I will try it in the rotation. Still, 50 bucks is 50 bucks. Hard to argue with that.

I'm not sure if that would work, but I also have never worked with CF. The liners look slightly recessed to me, and yes, I think that's a slag line from the cutting. It would be nice if they were polished up and finished. :(

I'm thinking about anodizing the titanium liners a nice blue color.

Someone take the bullet and send me your liners. I'll properly prepare, anodize and return them. It would be reversible using a mild rubbing compound.
