hi all!
a little background from me... i really do not know when i first had a passion for knives. all i can say is i know spyderco really fueled my desire to own knives. i remember when spyderco first started becoming popular and i would see their knives on display in this hiking store. i am not a hiker, far from. i would just oogle at the knives. they were very expensive back then. i think around $250-350. at my age then, i could not afford them. so i would just admire from afar.
time has passed and i have owned many great knives. everything from buck to chris reeve, but never a spyderco. go figure.
i was doing some research on spyderco knives and i came across the t-mag. i thought it looked beautiful and was very unique. i had to have it. so, some 20 years after loving spyderco, i finally own my first one. a carbon fiber t-mag with the s30v blade.
i know many people are not fond of this knife but i have been thoroughly impressed with it. i really do not care that it does not lock. i have always found most locks annoying and produce a false sense of security. the only one i have ever loved or trusted is the sebenza liner lock.
i am really enjoying this t-mag. it is a great edc for me, since i only use knives as a light tool; paper, tape, etc.. i am sure this will be my first of many. thank you spyderco for fueling my desire long ago and making money a rare commodity.
