That's a relief Sparrow, thought I might be challenging the ethics of pile ;):D

Many thanks, it's a handy little knife and interestingly, CASE have changed from single-spring to 2 springs with this pattern, but it's not too bad at all, no central divider so it's still slim

Rotated in the #66. Mostly carried that and the beer scout for the last week. Acquired a new #15 black micarta.

Top (l to r) 61, 61, 15, 15
Bottom (l to r) 66,77, Fayette Jack, Cadet

A winning pile... every single one of them! I missed the micarta 15s when they came out so I'm a little envious. :D Really nice pile, JB!!!:thumbsup:

Will, your concern for the "ethics of the pile" shows your integrity which is of highest order, always appreciated and still intact.:thumbsup::)

Thank you, I thought I missed out on the micarta single clip #15's too, until I found that one in a dealer stock a week and a half ago. Just checked back again and they are all gone now.

Another Mess......;)

Beautiful group Will. The jigging on the Lloyd is amazing. How old is it and when did he stop using the "old stove farm" stamp?

Thanks very much for your comments

Well, can't accurately say. Got it this year in February so don't know when he discontinued it. Yes the jigging is impressive but there have been issues with the bone cracking on the pins on both sides. I'm hoping he will rectify it.

Regards, Will

It's quite apparent that you like Winterbottom. Nice and also a large pile Stuart!:thumbsup:

That is a pile that you can study for a long time. Simply stupefying.

Thanks, guys. Those covers are what Queen called Frontier bone. It was a "new" Winterbottom that they used after 1946/1947, when Winterbottom Bone Co. switched from the darker "old" Winterbottom that Queen had used since 1930. I'm very lucky to have a couple of those Queen piles. Here's a picture of @Half/Stop trying to negotiate a trade of another pile for his single sweet knife (center of picture) over lunch one day. He drives a hard bargain and grips like grim death, but I broke free and saved my pile when he reached for his sandwich.
