T6 and T10 are the only drivers I'll need?

I still cant find a set of Torx drivers that go that small, but I can buy individual ones. T6 and T10 cover everything but balisongs, correct?

MSC sells a set of Whia torx drivers that start at T5 up to T10 I think. Ive got a set. I think they were about 30 bucks.

The T6 and T10 will handle a multitude of knife screws. If those are the only two you have you'll be in good shape.

You'll need a T8 for screws on pocket clips. Like amw308 said, you can get good ones at Sears.

I've torn up each of my BM Blue Box bits at least once.

Good thing that BM sends me new ones.

I have a sweet Craftsman set from Sears... T5 through T10, plus hex, plus Philips, all for something like $15. Definitely worth it. Full lifetime warranty too.

The Husky set from Home Depot is my second line of defense.

Good Afternoon All-

Another vote for www.wihatools.com for torx wrenches. These quality tools of German origin seem to be "cut very sharp" resulting in less slipping from the head. The slick yellow plastic holster keeps them all together and prevents them from being lost.

Wait, who uses T8 torx on clips? I've only seen phillips and T6

There is no absolute standard for what sizes will be used for what application. You really need a variety of sizes from T4 or 5 up to T15 in order to be able to cover all situations. And Phillips as well. Get a good set and avoid headaches in the future.

Blue Jay's suggestion of the Wiha tools is the way to go.

I think my microtech LCC required a T8 for disassembly, I needed a T7 for something as well, not sure what though.

I've used the T6, T7, T8, T10, and I think the T5 drivers from my Husky set (that Brewthunda posted a link for) on different folders. Most are T6 and T10, but no, they don't cover everything.

Get the Sears Craftsman magnetic 32 piece screwdriver set (#9-47483). It has Torx 6, 7, 8, 10, 15, 20, and 25, as well as other slotted, phillips, hex, etc. bits in the kit.

Depending on what you are getting, you definitely need T5 - T10. I have couple of full sets that go from T6 - T12 for about $7, and I had to get a Whia T5 for another $7 to complete the kit.

I bought a sears craftsmen set years ago for around 20.00 dollars. The t-6 I have replaced many times (from wearing them out).
