Hi Everyone,
I'm re-posting this knife. Its a beautiful TA Davison (#2205) Rag Micarta Clip Point folder with an A2 blade, coined liners, mill relieved, and flush in all three positions. I'm the original owner and purchased it brand new from Frank's Cutlery. Upon purchasing it I didn't realize (it was my first custom) that a filler was added around the shield on one side which I'm now seeing is chipping (you can see the filler in the original Instagram post by the maker of the knife if you look closely). The chipping is minor however I sent it to the maker to have it fixed and he can't fix it or rehandle it (please no comments on the situation). Its a gorgeous knife however I'm pretty sour on the whole situation. It was only used a couple times to open a box or two and is still razor sharp. If you purchase this knife, just know it is unlikely to get fixed unless you know someone who can work on knives. I did have one extremely kind person who recovers GEC knives offer to fill the chips with a glue that would stop further chipping. I've included pictures of the chipping.
The knife original cost $1,500 but given the defect, I'm asking $WITHDRAWN PPFF shipping included in CONUS.
Withdrawing ... Just going to use this one as a carry knife and shake my head a lot.
