Not even close! Why I set a date to deal with Table Mountain after an early start and a tiring day, I have no idea, but I guess that if I had good sense, I probably wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place! So, after getting home, I set to work trying to do something with the acquired pocket-knives, and various other items, which have accumulated on my kitchen table (they’re actually in a box on the table) over the past month or so. Here’s how it looked when I started

When I was a kid, I was fishing mad, and had one of these inexpensive Chinese-made fish knives. I’d completely forgotten about it until a few months back, when a photo here brought back the memory. R8shell very kindly sent me one, along with some other goodies, and I found another in the market the other week. At this rate, I could eventually have a shoal!

(r8shell, I’ve had some stuff for you on my coffee table a couple of months now. I’ll try and get it off to you soon )

A package from Leeds; or how I helped Jack clear his table.

A package of treasure arrived today!

Lots of old British coins, and penknives, and a double locking muskrat, and a folding bottle opener, and a wee mother of pearl fruit knife, and a well worn real lambsfoot. Oh boy, it's like Getting all my Hanukkah presents early and at once! Thank you so much!

R8shell : That real lambs foot appears to be a Taylor's Eye Witness . If it is , that is absolutely nice . Well worn , but nice. The other items are nice too , but I tend to gravitate to a Taylor's.
