Does anyone here tac weld the bolsters to liners on slipjoints rather than soldering? If so...is the joint invisible if done correctly? Seems like it would be very difficult to achieve a seemless joint. I also realize that many of you mill bolsters and liners out of one solid piece..but wondering about tac welding. Thanks.

i weld mine on. Its very hard to get a seamless joint. Ruple is the only one i ever saw that could do it.

I've spot welded, soldered, soldered and pinned, and milled them out. I've been
in numerous battles with myself on this, and while I can get very close to invisible by
soldering its nice to be able to not have to worry about a milled frame. I've been
told that soldering is faster but with then having to work slower so you don;'t knock
a bolster off Ireally don't see a big time difference. Not too many arguments when its
integral
