The idea for the taclete comes from my desire for a knife that I can wear all day next to my skin without discomfort to my person or damage to the knife from my toxic sweat. A knife for distance runners, swimmers/divers, paddlers, mountaineers, hot weather sd carriers and so on. My idea would be a design alla Mark Terrell's hang nail or the Thrust skinny puppy made from h1 steel. I think the stripped down karambit design offers great retention, compact size and is simple to utilize effectively with a bit of training and practice. Design would focus on ensuring the knife did not have sharp edges, nasty points or abbrassive surfaces so next to skin comfort would be maximized even during strenous movement. The sheath should not require a belt, offer some different attachment options and ideally offer the option for 2ndary retention for use in water or high angle pursuits. A pointy version and a semi-blunt version would be nice too.
