Tactical Bowies?

To answer a question, by "tactical" I'm referring to non-reflective blade coatings, micarta or synthetic handle material (waterproof), and a molle integrated sheath system.

I like the Bowie shape and design, but I'm not a big polished blade and stacked leather handle fan. OTOH, I like to retain the "idea" of these features.

I would say the RTAC II fits in with that. Big blade, thick grey/green non-reflective finish, MOLLE back sheath. Although a 10 inch blade may be too big for any "tactical" needs.

+1. Hard to argue with 7.5" of 1/3" thick 52100-B with a Jerry Busse differential heat treat and a lifetime warranty for what should cost around $150.00 or less.

Heck yeah. I cant wait for it to hit the store. I'm having trouble figuring out if I want to blow play money on the Regulator or a Yugo AK.

Just do what Nutnfancy does:buy any bowie you like and cover the blade in duracoat(your choice of colour) and maybe cover the sheath in camowrap. That would make any bowie suitably tactical.
