Tactical Canned Bacon

I've had it before, I'm not big on chicken fried anything. It wasn't bad, there's just better ways to intake a thousand calories... like a 20 oz angus steak, which if you live in northwest texas is basically free.

1k calories! holy crap that's 1/2 my daily intake in 1 meal. not to mention that bacon alone has 13 g of fat per 2 slices!

I can burn 2,000 an hour on a road bike, or 500/hr on a hard hike. I'm active enough that it doesn't really concern me. It's how your body metabolizes it that means more than actual contents. I eat alot of dairy, rangetop grilled meats and stews with tuberous and leafy vegetables, which your body tends to metabolize alot easier than processed foods and grain based products. If you take the 10 minutes to prep your food you can eat so much healthier and cheaper too. I'm no health guru or stickler on it, it's just the style of eating I like best.

Hahaha yeah I eat pretty healthy actually. I talk about bacon bc I don't eat it! I've had bacon 1x in the last 2 months. Ssshhhh don't tell crowdog.

on the road I LOVE BLT's. I almost never make it for myself but a BLT is one thing I'll spend money on on the road, either at subway or any roadside diner.

mmmmmm , bacon

Crap, now I had to go and make myself a bacon and peanut butter sandwich. You all know you want one, go ahead and do it! :D

:
:barf: that's just nasty.:barf:

No, no, this is good! Would I lie to you? Peanut butter goes well with a surprising number of things and bacon is one of them. Add some lettuce, a slice of dill and/or sweet pickle, and you've got a sandwich that will stay with you all afternoon ;)

Remember back when you were a kid, who would have thought that peanut butter on a celery stalk could have tasted so good :D

Edit: However, I have a friend who makes a bacon and peanut butter sandwich and then puts a slice of melted velveeta cheese on it. He is one sick puppy. That's just wrong.

I don't like peanut butter.

Well there ya go, you've come out of the closet :D I'm sorry to hear you don't enjoy it, it's a staple in my life. I went one whole summer driving cab and my daily lunch was peanut butter sandwiches and orange juice. I dropped a few pounds and was healthy as a horse. Maybe I should publish that, "CAB DRIVER'S DIET!" Just to get back on topic "AND BACON!"
