Timberline Zambezi 6" is perfect.Tuff & useful.440C steel.
Kabar New Generation in D2 is amazing also. 7"
SOG Northwest Ranger is a sweet lightweight 5".

Yeah I have thought about getting the Benchmade cbk. I handled a seraphym at a knife show. A little pricey as it was over 300. I think mercworx has some good fixed blade designs they just haven't gone about marketing right and might charge just a tad too much.

beefangusbeef - I agree with you on Mercworx price. They have a small fixed blade I like ( called Orion I think ) but it is more than I am willing to spend. I could buy a Bob Dozier or Bud Nealy for less.
