tactical folder .. 3 choices.. not sure

No offense taken, maybe a little hyperbole on my part. :D

It's a wicked looking knife that performs beautifully is what I was getting at.

Isn't the relief cut chiseled but the primary grind is V? Either than I'm confusing it with the older CQC 8's that were chiseled.

Also sorry that I made the mistake that the military is steel not Ti.

You are correct. My Emerson SOCFK is ground in that fashion. It gets wicked sharp.

The millie and cqc-8 are both solid choices, having owned both, i can say with all certainty that they are both excellent knives:thumbup: there are some differences though...i feel the emerson has a stronger blade than the millie, but the millie is a much better slicer due to its thinner edge, which can get  sharp, but the tip is not a strong as the cqc-8...i also find the ergos on both to be absolutely awesome. the emerson is heavier. they both have excellent liner locks, which i trust not to fail. the pocket clips on both are awesome, but i perfer tip up carry which the millie does not accommodate, the cqc-8 also has the outstanding wave feature which i love...

but if youve always wanted an emerson, i would go for that for sure:D

What he said! +1 !

I had the mili awesome knife. I traded it for Emerson, something about the ergoes of the mili wasn't my cup if tea. I felt that the mili while excellent in its intended grip, it is very restrictive for me in the other grips. I'm used to reversed blade inward grip, and the military was not meant for that.

Now I know I'm not gonna be fighting with it, but still something about it was making me uncomfortable, so I went with CQC-10.

But now I'm hunting for a mili again. Because it is just an awesome blade, that disappears in your pocket.

But your question was tactical...I don't think military is a tactical blade, its a good knife, but in IMHO there is nothing tactical about it except the name. You'd probably like Emerson more.

Please forgive me for getting off topic here, but...the Military isn't tactical? How the heck are you defining tactical. I have never heard anybody contend that the Military isn't a "tactical" knife.

I know it's not marketed as such but come on! I've trained Keating school for years and go RGEI and RGEO and there ain't nothing about the Military that doesn't work either way. The point is always in line with the thrust and it cuts like a razor. However you define intentions, if it works it works. Yes I know they developed the Pikal, a dedicated RGEI and I've handled it, give me a Military any day.

I liked it's design so much that I had a custom maker upgrade it to a 5" bladed fixed blade, it's an absolutely awesome knife, but all because of the design.

Sorry, I'm not trying to rant, just shocked.
