Tactical Folder

Good suggestions guys :).., and I'd have to throw in another vote for the RJ Martin pictured. Heck of a knife for the $$$$$

I've been buying "tactical" knives for a few years now,the last 2 or so being focused on more utility then tactical when it comes to blade shape and function. I've found that a blade designed for good utility/cutting tasks fits about every criteria I had for a blade for self defense.

The hands-down best tactical/utility knives I have come across have been the Carson M4 and M16. The m4 is the ultimate tactical design, IMHO. It comebines rock solid construction with excellent ergonomics and blade geometry. If you only want to own 1 tactical folder, this should be it. I've been carrying one for over 2 years now. No matter what new toys have come and gone through my collection since then, a Carson has never left my pocket.

A helluva lot of knife for the money.

The American distributor is here in Springfield.:D

Frank, from Target Masters invited me over to his shop one day and I got to handle the whole line of knives -- I want a Fulcrum!

His website www.target-masters.net.

Boink -- I love those recurves -- that is one sweet knife.

I dig the Carson M4 and the Kubasek Nutcracker.

I'd dig a Carson with stag scales. :)

Balisong - Marlowe also does this .. among the strongest lockup in folder leagues, and easiest to maintain and less component to fail by design (unless they break, where quality matters)

Check out the Cold Steel X2 ( or is it 2X ) Voyager. I saw one with fully serrated 6" tanto blade at a local gunshow. FRN ( kevlar? ) handle. Or you can get a clip point blade. Available in either shape in serrated or plain edge. And if you grip at the back of the handle you can add more distance from your hand - say 8" from it's point when open. But then I feel better with a collosal sized knife when none was anticipated by the opposition.
