The general parameters are 3-4" and $100-$200. I am looking for something different from the more traditional designs such as Military, BM740, G10 Police, Endura 4 Wave. These are great knives, but all have the same general design. I would like to hear about unusual blade designs, something to give the rotation a bit more variety. For example, I recently got a Spyderco Chinook III, a great knife with an unusual design. I have looked at the P'Kal, but I am not sure I'm comfortable with the reverse grip that it requires. I am hoping that you can supply some designs I am not already familiar with. Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.

When I hear "unusual" and "folder" I think Kershaw ET. It's the most unusual folder I have owned!

You can use the P'Kal in a number of secure grips.

I've been using one of mine in the EDC capacity and it is a reasonable design for such.

I have the new Lum Folder and it is awesome, it feels great in the hand, it cuts very well and carrys even better. It is my new favorite folder.

Check out the Benchmade Rift. The blade is shaped a little different but still very functional.

The handle has multi colored G10 that has a nice texture milled into it. It is all a little different than normal but still a very functional knife that won't seem awkward to use. It is my favorite so far.

Also available in all black and there are also some carbon fiber handles floating around.

the 0400 definitely looks scary. It's got a great grip. Very pointy.

It would work.

check out the Zero Tolerance knives. I have the 0200 or 0400 can't remember which, it was 110 or so. It's very nice. I'm still looking at an 0300.

The ZT400 does look interesting, and it is one that I had not considered. Anyone have experience with one of these? Keep the ideas coming.

I have one and I think its pretty great. Typical ZT quality and a good size as well. IIRC STR liked it except for the blade shape.
