Tactical Knives Articles

Funny thing is Jeff doesn't even mention his own machete in HIS machete article. A big Ontario is pictured. I know its not your style Jeff but blow your own horn!! Good thing the ESEE machete is written up elsewhere in the mag.

Been using Ontario, Tramontina and other machetes for years. That's where most of my mileage comes from so in the interest of basing it on experience the article was written on what has been proven. The new Lite Machete, although it's an Imcasa product, is relatively new and really not worthy of having a lot of experience miles in an article at this stage.

If it doesn't infringe any copyrights I'd love to read the ESEE based articles!

It does indeed infringe on the copyright. Please do not scan and post any article here without permission. Once this has run its life on the news stands, then we will seek permission from Harris to post it on our web site. Thanks.

Apologies, was not trying to encourage any naughtiness (:(), just have a feeling that its gonna be a bit difficult to get any copy in the UK, especially the right one!

Will just have to wait and hope permission is given once its off the stands.

I am going to head to the local bookstore sometime and pic up a copy to read it.

Jeff your machete article, that was a good read! makes me think why did I buy all these knifes? a question, how do cold steel machetes rate in your eyes?

Hey Jeff, I recall a while back that there was some talk of you guys (ESEE) doing your own magazine. Is there any chance of this still happening?

Yes there is. Some time after we get these folders and other projects launched.

In the spirit of the two machete articles of yours I have read lately, I took out my lowly 12 inch Ontario machete today. It sailed through 1- 1 1/2" limbs and worked quite well felling an ugly 3 inch sapling that was in the way. I had respect for an 18" all along and I really like the ESEE machete but I was really surprised today that the 12" did as well as it did. Thanks for the low tech articles you do.

The wikipedia article on RYP says "According to Bladeforums Pelton will be publishing a magazine entitled "Dangerous" with well known survival expert Jeff Randall of Randall Adventure Training."

Is this then something else?

I flipped thru it last night and I have to say ,I did not like the photo showing the Original RAT SERE Firekit .
like I stated before the Lite machete is climbing to my top 3 ESEE blades
