Tactical pens

I did not buy my Arbutus for use as a tactical pen, I bought it because I like the way a good fountain pen writes and feels in my hand. The fact it can serve as an improvised defense tool is just an added bonus.

If any other fellow Canadians are looking for a Zebra F-701, the Canadian Zebra rep I emailed today says that Walmart carries them. I'll be checking tonight. Awesome thread! I'm flying to LA in a week and a bit so this is handy info.

Scored one at Walmart tonight for $7, and if you're wanting a decent version for a lot less, they've got the F-301 2pks for $4.97 IIRC. I might pick up a couple of those for the other just-in-case gear collections.

The clear plastic Bic pens that have been around forever is my choice. If you can save the blue pen cap it will give the user a nice double pointed self defence emergency tool.

Wrap the pen in your fist, and you will notice that both ends protrude for thusting. In actual use the pen may shatter and produce a wicked shattered point sharp enough to inflict injury and pain to the opponent.
