I personally don't like poly HG's with the horizontal grooving. Feels like my hand is sliding around. I picked up a plain-jane Crapco HG and stippled almost the entire surface with a soldering iron, then knocked the fuzzies and high spots down with some wet-dry sandpaper.

the 1984, is a polish kit built on a 1.6mm USA Armory reciever (like the Norincos),, ultimak lower, and upper, and has about 15,000 rounds thru it,,, the most proven of the bunch..
 
I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd be interested in hearing how the class went and how your rifles performed, once you're rested up!
 
I will write a review when I get back to the Homeland,, but man, I used the polish for the whole class,, a dude from Finland that was getting some training for Afganistan, I let him use the Rifle Dymanics ak,, he loved it,,
