Tactical Self Defence Pen Designed By Allen Elishewitz

Can you tell me.......I have two hardened aluminum Rotring pens. What's the difference between using these writing tools as defense weapons and, or going to the expense of purchasing the Hinderer, Mil-Tac, etc?
The Hinderer and the Anderson puts the stress of the impact through well engineered threads, that does an excellent job of making the units feel like a single piece of steel. Rotrings are made of solid brass, but if you look at the threads, they are not as robust and could be damaged if used in a defensive strike. It comes down to what you are willing to live with. I'd rather pay the extra and know the unit will survive more than one strike. Or simply pay a lower a price for something that could be replacable.

My fine script ballpoint Lamy pen has a heavy aluminum body and cost £28. Held in the palm of your hand it could easly penetrate the rib cage and tickle the heart or let out all the air in a lung.
