tactical sheath for kukuri

Mpisi... could you post more pics of Dan's scabbard? I am in a kydex project myself for my khuk and like the design. How does it attach to your belt?

ok... Guess not.

But that is ok.

I have drilled holes for use with Paracord.

I will just make do with that. A few loops and slide my belt through it.

It holds my AK securely, even upside down, but it Jumps from the scabbard when called.

I will have pics up when I replace the machine bolts with rivets and trim it up nicer.

Its not Koster Quality, but its pretty good for me, pretty good for free.

kydex is pretty easy, Bro...as long as you have the right stuff and some moxy...:D :p

Dont forget heat resistant fingers!

Dan your gonna die when I tell you how I work Kydex.

i make a cardboard model of the blade, safer that way.

I measure it out, add 1/2 inch all around for MISTAKES

I put the holes in and bolted it up.

I use my oven for the gross forming. So I heated the Kydex up till it was like a fruit roll up. or til i smell it.

I pulled it from the oven and JAMMED my kukri into it.

Then I slammed it on a thick folded up towel really fast and put all my weight on it with another towel on top.

This is the GROSS heat form process.

i use a Bic for the fine adjustments. :)

I take it apart and sand or file the edges, sharp kydex can tear you up.

No teklock for me. This is going on my webgear for Field use. At the most a leather frog or some quick clips.

While i am poor, I also do this for that sense of self satisfaction I crave.

Pic as promised.
