Here is a modern spike Hawk I just finished. The handle is T6 aluminum wrinkle powder coated black w/ 22ft of paracord wrapped on the handle. The head is L6 saw steel at .175 thick, with my "camo patina". The head extends into the handle (just over an inch), and is attached via 3 allen bolts. The spike is beveled on the bottom edge, but not sharpened. With such a light handle this thing seriously chops!
I just finished the kydex sheath for this, It has added retention via shock cord that can be released w/ a flick of the thumb.
specs
Steel - L6
Handle length - 16"
Head length - 8.5"
Head thickness - .175"
Cutting edge - 4"
Spike length - 4"
Price $195 TYD in the conus
Paypal preferred
Includes Kydex sheath w/ shock cord retention
