Tactical Tracking-Alabama

Looks like it was an interesting class to get in on Reuben. Haven't seen one of those Skatchets in years. Great photos, particularly from the Skatchet down, always love your nature shots. Those brambles are a pain in the neck, leg, abdomen, or anywhere else they can grab ya, but those are small thorns compared to some we have here in the south.

Nice shot of the poison dripping off the knife. I'm not allowed to play with poison.

Darn it, poison...yuck, and here I was thinking it was some good southern clover honey.

Great report, seems you really had fun.

Yes, that leuku really seems like one Ilkka was making some time ago.

Bear, great pics and great Leukus! May have to get one of those for myself. Familiar with the Ft. Payne area, as my wife is originally from Alabama (about an hour or so south).

Bear & John: was taught tactical/combat tracking by another former Rhodesian SAS guy back in the "wilds" of Eglin Military Reservation in the Spring of 1987 (only remember his last name: "Tuck")...he had "gone home" to Hereford after '79, and was TDY from there. Learned a tremendous amount from him!

Regards,
Ron

Great pics, looks like an awesome time with lots of great skills. Loving the Leuku shots

The guy who is teaching these classes is going to be doing one in the near future. Let me know if you want his info. They won't all be "Tactical." Some will be for people who just want to get out and study the art of tracking, both people and animals.

Email him to say hi and find out when he will be doing them.
