This is a tactical blade design but also elegant in appearance (of coarse I'm the maker and may be biased). ATS-34 steel .2 inches thick was selected as the cutting media for this knife. I hardened it in an Even Heat oven wrapped in foil at 1950 degrees F for 30 min. then air cooled with fans. The blade was allowed to remain in in dry ice for 72 hours then two 2 hour tempering cycles were performed at 400 degrees F. The blade was hand sanded then buffed to an almost mirror finish and sports an exposed tang glass breaker pommel with lanyard hole. For the handle black African Ebony wood scales with white and black spacers are fastened to the knives full tang with stainless and brass loveless bolts. To carry the knife I crafted a tooled black black leather sheath that is set up with movable belt loop for either right or left carry.
