Sad part is, I thought this knife was cool when I first saw them.

Then I grew up.

I think if you collect long enough, that happens. I know it did for me.

Now when I look at it I wonder what the hell I was thinking.

I'll admit it too. I also owned that knife (M16-13SF or something?) around the same time. I am glad it's all behind me now.

The thing is, a lot of knives are cool with decent designs and quality when you see them in the case. But then the marketing gets in the way and it all becomes a joke.

Honestly it looks like a decent design especially if you want something very compact. Most people seem to focus on the fact that the guy in the video is roided up rather than anything specifically wrong about the knife which shows that most people ragging on this knife aren't doing a lot of thinking.

I guess you think explosion bonded steel is a great idea.

I had the Boker version, the design is dumb. Sticking your index finger through the middle of the blade means it's susceptible to be injured by whatever material you just cut(e.g. try going through cardboard quickly without burning your knuckle skin off), and the the main edge bevel starts so damn low in order to make room for the holes that it's nearly impossible to get sharp.

That Miltner Adams video takes the cake for me. I don't care about the knife at all -- that video is hilarious! I love the over-the-top voice throughout; no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop watching. I'm just disappointed that the LE version of the MA-4/II is $3500. Dang.

Oh, and I loved the tough guy voice repeatedly saying, "M-A tutu" over and over. Pure gold.
