23 = Xena the warrior princess' ring thing?
Yep. It's called a chakram (an ancient weapon from India).
56 = Serpent dagger from Conan the barbarian
Yep.
65 = BFG (Big F****** Gun from Doom)
Yep
74 = Cloud Buster sword (final fantasy)
Yep.
16= Predator's Disc O' Death (Predator 2)?
Yep
47 covenant needler (halo)
Yep.
62 comedians grenade (watchmen)
Probably.
26 cherry darlings prosthetic leg/gun (planet terror)
Yep. I can't believe I didn't recognize this. I kept looking at it and wondered why a plain ol' M4/M203 was in any way unique.
That would be:
35. Prawn weapon(District 9)
At least I think that's what it is.
Yep.
Planterz I think you got 2 and 3 mixed up.
I did. But it's not a Sand People's rifle like I guessed. I don't know what it is.
I want to say 2 is Arnie's LongSlide .45 from the first Terminator, with the
slide pulled back. It had an old style laser sight that looked like that.
That's what I thought at first too, but it didn't look quite right. Until you mentioned that the slide was pulled back, and that's definitely what it is.
Also I think 24 is from Star Wars, but I can't place it.
This one hit me last night too. So obviously the staff thing that the Tusken Raider (Sand People) whacks Luke upside the head with and holds over his head. Apparently called a Gaderffii.
49 looks like a Storm Trooper blaster, which is actually a modified British
submachine gun, of which the name escapes me now.
Close, but I don't think it's the same gun. It's not the smaller one that the Imperial Scout Troopers use on Endor either.
EDIT: 49 is the gun from the original Battlestar Galactica
34 looks so damn familiar, but I just can't place it. It's gotta be from a cartoon or some early sci-fi serial.
Oddly, I can't match any of the guns to Flash Gordon, and that's effing criminal.
43 looks kinda Steampunk-ish, but I can't find anything that matches.
46 is Marvin the Martian's disintegrating pistol.
54 has got to be a Van Helsing hammer/stake. Probably Peter Cushing's version.
67 looks like a Walther P-38, but why this weapon is specifically significant, I don't know.
I'd be willing to bet that 31 is some version of Excalibur, but from which movie I don't know.
