Here's a couple of pics of previous subhilts.
The original one was the walrus handled one in 2012 I think. I wanted a trigger look, but without the division in the handle that another pc of barstock for the subhilt typically does. It's additional work, no doubt, but I like it and it feels good in hand.

Agree completely. The trigger guard is a novel approach, and I applaud creativity. My new fave Lynch knife, right here.
