Tai Goo class knife

I would think something along the lines of the original Southwest imp Kokopelli - oosic with hemp wraps???

LOL you guys can go on all you like. I was expecting Tai to chime in and say something about me being "folksy" having to do with my overalls. :D

Tai, before I get out of AZ I hope to spend some more time with you in that lean-to smithy of yours. ;)

All, I have LOTS of learning to do. But that's the fun part!

I don't know how to approach this the mellow way being the blunt but stubborn army guy that I am: how much for the knife? It's asskickin'!

Every boy should oughtta have a good set of bibs for hammerin' hot steel. :)

Looks good to me, I gotta say I liked it more with just the Walnut... What are the dimensions?

Hi Matt (it's Matt, right?). Thanks. I was really conflicted about going further with it and doing fittings etc after getting the handle roughed out, but decided to take it to the "bitter end"--I didn't know when my next knifemaking opportunity would come up, and I'd feel bad if I at least didn't try to make the knife match our original concept drawing.

Anyway, the specs are (roughly, all I have is a cheesy tape measure here at my desk):

15.75" OAL
0.25" at the thickest part of the spine (at the ferrule)
0.125" at the start of the clip on the spine
4.5" from the "guard" to the end of the wood on the handle.
9.25" from the end of the ferrule to the tip of the blade
2.0" max blade height
