Taiwan vs US

Ok well i take back everything I have ever negatively posted about spyderco making knives in Taiwan !!! I just got the chance to handle a sage 3 , gayle Bradley and ppt in a local store and man was I IMPRESSED!!! Big time !!! These knives were all gorgeous and dare I say just as nice or nicer than any spyderco I hav owned or handled , USA or Japanese !!! I ended up leaving with the ppt which I think is probably the nicest spydie i now own !!! Would i like to see it made in golden? Yea , but this thing is perfect ...

I have taken my GB apart and reassembled it a number of times and am amazed at how tight the tolerances are. I owned a small p sebenza and the GB is equal to or better than it in the fit department. You have to work at getting the pivot, stop pin and standoffs all in at the same time. It is difficult to just insert the standoffs individually into the liners cause they fit so tight.

The PPT is awesome - that much is certain, but I'm seriously torn between my PPT and my Para2 right now - the Para is equally as awesome and mine is just plain flawless.

Superleaf is on its way and then I'll be able to compare a Japan-made model to the mix, but for now, the Para2 just edges out the PPT in my opinion. Now the Sage 1 - that one is probably even more perfect than either of these.
