TAK-1 and RC-4 side by side comp pics needed!

I would like to see em side by side but mostly the handle difference and also the thickness.

well, I do not have pics, but I can tell you they are about the same size. The TAK has micarta blocks for scales. At least the RC-4 is nice. (I just ordered one today)

I have a RAT-5 and I have seen a RC-3.
The RC-4 and TAK-1 seems like a great size - my RAT-5 is just a bit too think / wide for multi-purpose. The TAK-1 looks similar in size to the RC-4 - But I "THINK" it will have more handle on it. My guess is that the RAT-5 and TAK-1 have the same size handle and just a different blade. My other guess is that the RC-3 and RC-4 have the same size handle so I am just wanting to verify.

I sure would like to see the comparison pics if anyone out there has both of em.

The RC-4 handle is a bit bigget than the RC-3
Not the best shot for compairing the handles, but you can kind of see it.

Actually I think the handles are identical in size; its just the blade that's different.

As far as the TAK, it has much blockier handles than the RC4. The RC4 is a much more pleasant knife to work with ergonomically.

You can be right, but I think the handle is thicker on the 4, I should have said that instead of bigger; Sorry. I will check when I get home.

I think the handle is thicker simply because the blade itself is wider. The actual micarta ought to be about the same.

I have a RAT-3 and the handle is just a bit small for my fat paw.

Looks like a RC-4 is in my near future!
Does anyone have an opinion on a decent dealer to get em from?

The RAT3 handle is slightly small for me as well - but the RC4 is perfect. Less substantial than the TAK handle - but more than enough to work with comfortably. Here's some RC3 and RAT3 comparison pix (RC3 and RC4 have the same grip - RC4 grip is slightly thicker - but the same size (thicker due to the 3/16" stock steel).
