Tak Fukuta folder..

Jim Parker was a big Seki customer and had knives made by a number of makers there. He was producing so many folders there that he invested in a factory there with the late Seizo Imai, which have the Parker-Imai stamp. After the factory closed Seizo Imai quit factory production and spent the rest of his life as a strictly custom maker. Along with many others. Parkers' best Seki knives were marketed as the Parker Custom Series, and both Tak Fukuta and Ichiro Hattori made a few models for him. Tak Fukuta was a custom maker in the late 70s and the first Japanese knifemaker to become a member of the American Knifemakers Guild and the few knives he made while living in the US marked as Made in USA are sought by collectors. Tak Fukuta returned to Seki Japan and opened a factory doing OEM work for companies like Parker, Junglee, Valor, Browning and AG Russell as well as his own brand.
