take-down tool?

Maybe I've missed something, but the Endura model that popped up at NewGraham today is new to me. Is has a novel feature: a spring-loaded take-down tool. What's this?

It's a Glock take down tool. I seem to remember the Endura 3 having the same thing at one point.
