Drumroll! I'm going to draw this in a couple of minutes

And the winner is post number 47 - Ted! Nice one Ted, congratulations! :)

I'm definitely in , I'll take 8 and 13, I see a nice little ring opener there. :)

Thanks this has got to be one of the most interesting ideas for a giveaway. Every time I think every giveaway scenario has been tried you guys come up with a new way to give away a knife. :)

Thanks again Jack, I couldn't resist this one, good luck to everyone this is gonna be fun.

Right, let's see what's in those drawers...

In drawer number 8 we have...

A wee Richards folder in cracked ice and stainless, one of the knives I got on my Otley Run giveaway (if anybody remembers that) or thereabouts. I kept it because I thought it was quite a nice example. One more to add to your clam-shell collection Ted.

And the big Ibberson's Hawkbill I picked up just the other week, a special edition of their 70's Action Knife range. Should sharpen up nicely :)

When I picked up the top knife, someone (Pertinux possibly) suggested the picture on the box looked like a swimming turtle! I remember seeing these Turtle Lobsters on sale in Sheffield in the 70's, think my grandfather even had one now that I think about it. It's new, in the box, and hopefully useful.

The Sheffield-made penknife in MOP and stainless only has one of the blades unfortunately, strange as it's in great shape otherwise. It's a longstanding Sheffield town pattern, but this one doesn't have a maker's tang-stamp.

Ted, I just realised that all four knives are stainless, so since you mentioned a ring-opener, I'll throw in one in carbon steel too.

Hope you get some use from these knives, which it'll be a pleasure to send you. Thanks for all your service here my friend, congratulations again, and thanks once again to everyone else whose posted. Great stuff folks. Another giveaway coming soon :)

Jack

Thanks Mark, now I can have my drawers back! :D

Cool knives, this was a neat GAW.

Thanks again for the fun, Jack!

Wow, very cool Jack, I'm excited, the small Sheffield with the bottle opener and corkscrew looks just like a Camco I have, :).

The Orange Hawkbill will work great in the woods in my backyard, in always cutting the wild roses and flowers for my wife, small vines that started choking out my blackberry bushes. :)

I collect turtles since I was a kid in school and the mean little kids nicknamed me teddy turtle :) that nickname still sticks but now they call me that because when ever I do a job it takes me forever but when I'm done is perfect, (I may be sure but I only have to do it once and it's done right :).

And what can I say about the pearl, my birth stone is pearl so I've always loved any MOP handled knives.

Thank you so much Jack my friend you are so generous and give so much to this community, I always look forward to your posts, pics and anecdotes. Let's not forget your great giveaways, you have the most creative giveaways on the Traditional's forum.

Jack, fret not, they come to a good home where they will be used and carried, being semi retired I have the opportunity to change the knives I use and carry several times a day so it's not unusual for me to use 10 different knives throughout the day.

Sorry to the members that didn't get picked, (keep your eyes open, I'm still putting together a giveaway for my 15,000 post, just been busy with old people stuff like docs and therapy :) )

Jack, I'll shoot you my address in a few minutes. Thank you again. :)

Jack,
Thank You for the chance, You had a interesting and fun give away.

Ted,
Congratulations, You got some nifty usable knives.
The Richards is pretty classy, the corkscrew and bottle opener might come in handy along with the nice blade.

Unique GAW with Great Prizes (now I need to google "ring-opener")

Here's a little Schrade CUTCO Walden NY Ring Opener, (I'm guessing it's from around the 30s-50s) I bought sometime ago, IIRC I picked it up for under $10 at an estate auction.
