Roman Pompeii Gladius has takedown construction with bedded elk antler handle, walnut pommel/hilt, bronze spacers, and hand-turned pommel nut. Hand forged from large billet of high carbon steel in the Texas Hill Country.

Very cool. I like the proportions and the esthetics.
 
For those of you that don’t know Sam yet, he has been coming to my shop several years and is a stand up person. He actually used my lathe to turn the pommel on this sword so I have seen in it person. He did a very nice job and has a ton of hours in to it. This is a fantastic deal! Alan
