The Japanese have a cutlery steel they call Takefu Suminagashi which is made up of a core of White Steel, the highest grade of cutlery steel, with 11 layers of low carbon non hardenable steel on either side.
The layers are dead flat which makes grinding it a real challenge.
Offered here is a dagger with a blade of the Takefu steel.
The guard is 416 and brass with a frame handle of 416 and ancient bog oak.
The all leather blade sheath is hand made by the maker.
$300 plus shipping of $20
Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.
Steve

I got to handle this beauty at the show if I had the funds I would have grabbed it. This is a real nice piece guys.

I think it may be the best example of your work that I have seen. The whole is more than the sum of the parts. I have several of your daggers and I like them but this one is in a different class.

I'll take it Steve!! It's always a treat to see your fine work.

Funds sent.
