Made from Takefu Shiro2 carbon steel with stainless cladding, the unique pattern is from careful cold forging to create ripples in the cladding line. The overall length is 4.75” with a 2” cutting edge, the kiridashi is a traditional Japanese knife for small crafts or sharpening pencils, but it also makes a fantastic desk or office knife for opening packages and other small tasks. The extremely thin edge makes it almost like a scalpel and it will excel at detailed work. Ships in a padded zipper pouch. Normally $150, on sale for $120 plus shipping.
