Taking a step back to see my accumulation.....

I don't dare get all of my knives out of their boxes at the same time. My wife might see how many there are!

Stan, I'm not sure where NW Penna is, but if you have anywhere close that sells Rough Riders, just go try a bunch.
They usually have nice pulls, about a 5, with lots of models in the 3½ - 3¾" range, and they're $10 - $15.

That's a great idea Jeff - I've been pondering that idea myself. I did break down and buy a RR Trapperlock to try while my Case is out for repair (the one next to the Opinels) and quite like it. I think I may try a couple other patterns on for size. Good to know about the pulls as that is the main reason I have hesitated so far. The Trapperlock of course is super easy not being a slip joint.

Not a bad knife amongst them as far as I can see, a good achievement in itself.

I'm sure you'll be surprised by many RR knives, 2 or 3 of mine are very firm favourites. Inexpensive, well made, good steel and nice to use/look at.

I think you could look into an EZ-Open knife and if the cash permits, a Fontenille-Pataud lockback could be just what you need!

Regards, Will

That is a very handsome collection you have shared. Trafitional fixed blades are not a niche I have explored. The ones you show are very nice looking and a real eye-opener.

Thanks for sharing

Another possibility for you are the Svord Peasant knives, both full size and the mini. I have both, and they are quite handy, and being a friction folder, you can make it as easy to open as you need. Best thing about them, they are just a bit more expensive than an Opinel, but not much.

If they aren't too difficult for you to close, a Buck 110 would be another fine addition for you.
