The only rule I'm aware of is- any pictures you do take at the Blade Show must be posted on this forum within 24 hours.

I've heard you cant take pics of prototypes..
But pics of grown men in pink tutu's is not only acceptable, but encouraged.

I'd like to see some "after hours" pics if ya know what I mean.

Ask first. Take photos second. It is only polite. I can imagine some makers or manufacturers not wanting their faces or knives displayed in ways they can not control.

But Bronco is 100% right. If you take photos and let the 24 hour rule lapse, you will be summarily Ignored from that point foward.

Yes, it would be very nice if you could share the pictures with the people that don´t live in USA, or have trouble getting there. I live in Sweden myself so going to Atlanta is probably not something I will be able to do this year (maybe next, who knows).

Looking forward to that post

I was there last year, camera in hand. And am planing on taking as many photos as possible this year.

I would never dream of taking a picture with out first asking permission. Not once was I refused and in most cases, the makers helped any way they could to get the shot just right.

Para,
I thought that the time limit was 12 hours from taking the picture to posting it. When did they relax the standards? Pictures of Men in TuTu's are not only encourage, but mandatory!

Danelle,
After show pictures? I don't think I want to know what Kit Carson does after the Blade Show!

Might take a litle longer than that. Although I don't think that I be there that late unless I have a couple of boys with me. Sons of friends, got to break then in right. Had all of their Family there last year. Some of you might remember the 6 boys, 1 girl, two tired parents, and the wife and I from last year.

It's a fine line between "a hobby" and "mental illness".

Someone asked me last night on Chat to take a lot of pictures at Blade, I told her that would be difficult since I'm not bringing a camera. But I did tell her I could do sketches.

Then I started thinking why not get a jump on these drawings? So here's my first one just for Danelle. See if you can name this Famous Knife maker after hours at Blade Show 2001?

Jeez Bob, I still can't believe those uppity bastids at that one Raliegh gun show we went to several months back! Though, never have tried it at the C&E gun shows down here. Lunchtime is always where THE show always takes place

Regarding photos at Blade, they are permitted as long as you get permission of the maker/company. And as stated no photos of protos unless the company gives permission. Videotaping of the show is absolutely prohibited unless permission is obtained beforehand from Krause Publications.

Thanks, Gus, for the great pics. I hope several folks have similar success this year and will post them. All I ask, tho, is that if too many of you do that, that somebody add a day to the week they're posted, so I can keep up with my forums.
