Taking suggestions for a new Grail

I think if you like the tanto point, but wanted something a bit more user friendly, you could get a Public Defender. Tanto point, straight badger style handle. Came in some great handle materials, in coated and satin If I remember correctly.

Not super uber tactical, but useable, and a great carry length.

Also, BaIII's are awesome, rare and useable.

Seriously, though, you would be hard pressed to get a more bada$# looking knife than the Gladius. The CG models are not too expensive (pre order price).

CG KZ's to me are uber cool, and should be an awesome chopper too.

I think that AA's and Nuke AA's are bad too, but are super expensive.

Yes. There was a Clip Point variety, and an Anorexic version. The best, of course, would be the CPABA. :D

I have to say, until I had one I wasn't sure about the CPABA. Now I can say I fully agree with this statement.

My recommendation would be an ABA of any kind. It is arguably the best smallish blade Jerry has ever made. Now if we could just get a BOSS ABA . . . :thumbup:

Good luck getting it from Jaxx! ;)

BAIII = Badger Attack 3?

Yup. They feel so great in the hand too. Perfect blade to handle ratio to my eyes for that size user. Would make a perfect deer/elk knife. General camping and backpacking. Not a big knife at all.

I had a chance to hold one and loved it.

I have seen the AA's go for 1700 or a bit more depending on version (I believe some versions I saw go as high as 2000 once).

A "user" of knives should have a great "user" for a "grail" .... my hard to get one was a Basic 5 until a kind Hog helped me out .... and it is all I ever want in a small belt carry :thumbup::cool:

That size of knife gets carried and used the most .... at least until a folder might be done .... and the greatest sense of satisfaction is found when you know you have got just what you want for an EDC style blade. So I would look for the perfect EDC for your tastes ....:thumbup:

See... now that's a different take on it, if I understand you. You're saying your grail knife is/was a Basic 5, but you use it. Its a grail because it is THE perfect user? I just always consider grail knives ones that don't get used... get put on a pedestal. But maybe if I found a work of art grail knife, and used it, I wouldn't be temped to sell it.

...ahh! What to pick... WHAT TO DO!! :D
