What's next? I was told - no sword swallower's blades
Still - can I pout? Why not a full 3" cutting edge? Just asking.

It's funny how knife-nuts will bicker over 1/4"Like 3" would make any man proud![]()

I'll shoot for something right in the middle, or whatever the eye likes.
John I trust your design eye without qualifiers. Otherwise I would bale on this one. I can't quite picture a real shorty bullnose not losing the form amidst the short.
After all!Length matters.![]()
Handle shape? I really like these. A bit of curve in the length - slight swell at the cap. Might only stand a bit of flare at the minimalist guard.
As far as that goes I like everything about these and greatly favor the subdued but complimentary treatment of colors and materials. I really do not like ribbon candy handles.
Though I could go for some exceptional stag, if you ever work with that and have some available. Hard to beat your stacked leather though.
Center barrel? Do you mean a swell in the girth? If so - my preference is NO.
Extended guard? Small knife such as this?? I defer to you. Maybe enough just to flare the guard and have it be proud by only about 1/8"
Throw out ideas and examples and I'll work some things up.
Leaving this to the designer's eye and talent.I'll shoot for something right in the middle, or whatever the eye likes.

Get to feeling better, Ray! No fun being home illin'!I admit without reservation that I am out of my league and so likely full ofin this regard.
My thinking is that the bullnose profile doesn't lend itself to such a small EDC multipurpose knife. Drop point does that perfectly. I can't visualize it - in any case. BUT - having said, that I trust John that you are right on it. Will be fascinating to see what develops.
And - to be fair I'm home sick with a fever and everythingso likely delusional too
- at least in regards to the potential of the diminutive bullnose. Still - dig out splinters - really

Good rendition of an athletic sock though - don't 'cha think![]()
Right? I think we may have a winner here.^ Yes.
Every day.
And twice on Sunday.
I had the same concern with bullnose, but I gave it a bit more of a working point and slimmed things out a bit.I like your version John I was worried about the tip but that has a good point to it. I think that leather and Micarta would look good together.
